Astros Activate All-Star Isaac Paredes Ahead of Pivotal Series vs. Mariners - Loadedmore.ng

The Houston Astros are getting a major boost at the perfect time. With a pivotal three-game set against the Seattle Mariners on deck, the club has officially activated All-Star third baseman Isaac Paredes from the injured list.

Paredes, 26, has been sidelined since July 19 with a hamstring injury. Before going down, the two-time All-Star was one of Houston’s most productive hitters, slashing .259/.359/.470 with 19 home runs and 50 RBIs—both team-leading marks at the time, per Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

The Astros landed Paredes in December from the Cubs in a blockbuster trade that sent Kyle Tucker to Chicago. The deal has paid off quickly for both clubs, with Paredes, Tucker, and Houston outfielder Cam Smith all making big contributions in 2025.

Now, Paredes returns with Houston and Seattle locked in a dead heat. Both teams enter the weekend at 84–69, with just nine games left to decide the AL West. The Astros are chasing a fifth straight division crown, while the Mariners are aiming to capture their first since 2001.

With the division on the line, the return of Isaac Paredes could be the difference-maker Houston needs.
