Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of experienced striker Danny Ings on a free transfer ahead of the new Championship season.
The 33-year-old forward has penned a one-year contract at Bramall Lane, with the option to extend for a further year. Ings arrives as a free agent after leaving West Ham United earlier this summer following the expiry of his contract.
Bringing a proven goalscoring record, Ings has netted 72 Premier League goals during his career, featuring for top-flight clubs including Liverpool, Aston Villa, Southampton, and Burnley.
His arrival provides the Blades with both experience and attacking depth as they aim for a swift return to the Premier League.
Sheffield United fans will be hoping Ings can rediscover his goalscoring touch and play a pivotal role in their promotion push this season.
