Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel delivered some welcome news ahead of Sunday’s season opener against the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaking with reporters on Friday, McDaniel confirmed that star wide receiver Tyreek Hill and explosive running back De’Von Achane are “absolutely” expected to suit up.
Both players had been listed on the injury report this week—Hill nursing oblique and calf issues, while Achane has been limited by a calf concern. Their availability is a major boost for a Dolphins offense that struggled through a disappointing 2024 campaign but still has the firepower to be one of the NFL’s most dangerous units when fully healthy.
Hill, who endured an injury-plagued season last year and lacked consistent time on the field with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, will look to bounce back as Miami’s premier deep threat.
Meanwhile, Achane adds a home-run element out of the backfield, proving himself last season as a dual-threat weapon in both the run and pass game.
With both playmakers cleared to go, Miami will enter Week 1 at near full strength offensively—an encouraging sign as they aim to start 2025 with momentum against the Colts.
