Detroit Lions star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown came to the defense of Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams during the latest episode of his podcast with brother Equanimeous.

Joined by Bears wideout Rome Odunze on Wednesday’s show, St. Brown didn’t hold back when addressing the constant criticism surrounding Williams.

“On Twitter, I feel like they be on his d— 24/7. He can’t do s–t right,” St. Brown said bluntly. “No matter what he does, good or bad, it’s all on Twitter. I swear he can’t breathe.”

Williams, who was drafted No. 1 overall, faced heavy scrutiny throughout a challenging rookie season that included the firing of head coach Matt Eberflus.

Despite the turbulence, the former Oklahoma and USC standout still managed to throw for 20 touchdowns against just six interceptions.

St. Brown and Williams share Trojan ties from their college careers at USC, while Odunze was once a Pac-12 rival at Washington. That familiarity gave the conversation extra weight, showing that players who know Williams best remain confident in his potential despite the noise on social media.

With the NFC North rivalry heating up, it’s clear St. Brown respects the Bears’ young quarterback, even as he prepares to face him twice a year.
