The UEFA Champions League 2025/26 league stage draw has delivered some mouthwatering fixtures, with European heavyweights set to collide early in the competition.

For the second year running, UEFA’s revamped format will see 36 teams compete in a single league table, with each side playing eight games – four home and four away – between September and January.

Champions League Blockbuster Fixtures

• Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona: – The defending champions PSG will face Spanish giants Barcelona in one of the standout clashes of the league phase. PSG, who lifted their first-ever Champions League trophy last season, will be looking to assert their dominance once again.
• Liverpool vs Real Madrid: – Another chapter will be added to this famous European rivalry, with Liverpool welcoming 15-time winners Real Madrid to Anfield in what promises to be a fiery contest.

• Chelsea vs Barcelona: – Stamford Bridge will host another historic showdown when Chelsea take on Barcelona, reviving one of the most storied rivalries in UCL history.
• Manchester City vs Real Madrid: – For the fifth consecutive season, City and Madrid meet in Europe’s premier competition. This time, the clash takes place at the Santiago Bernabéu in the opening round, adding to a rivalry that has defined recent Champions League campaigns.
• Arsenal vs Bayern Munich: – The Gunners are set for another duel with Bayern, this time at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have faced the six-time champions more than any other opponent in UCL history, with their last meeting coming in the 2023/24 quarter-finals.

The Road to Budapest

This season’s final will be held in Budapest next May, and with six English clubs in the mix – Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Newcastle – the Premier League is strongly represented. Meanwhile, PSG enter as holders, but with European powerhouses like Madrid, Bayern, and Barcelona in the mix, the path to retaining the crown will be anything but easy.
