Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace are all making moves in the transfer market as the summer window heats up.
Tottenham Plot Lucas Paquetá Move
Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move for West Ham star Lucas Paquetá, just weeks after sealing the £55m signing of Mohammed Kudus from the Hammers.
Spurs are on the hunt for a new No.10 following James Maddison’s knee injury, and with failed pursuits of Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White, Paquetá has emerged as a priority target.
While West Ham boss Graham Potter is reluctant to part with the Brazilian, reports suggest the club could consider offers upwards of £60m. Paquetá himself is not forcing a move after being cleared of previous spot-fixing allegations.
Crystal Palace Line Up Eze Replacement
Crystal Palace are eyeing Bournemouth winger David Brooks as a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze, who recently left Selhurst Park.
Brooks, 28, impressed in Bournemouth’s 1-0 win over Wolves last weekend and has entered the final year of his contract. Palace’s new director of football Matt Hobbs is said to be a huge admirer of the Welsh international, who has made over 100 league appearances since joining the Cherries in 2018.
Newcastle Offered Juventus Striker Dusan Vlahović
Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahović, with the Italian giants willing to accept offers as low as €30m to ease their wage bill.
Vlahović, however, is not currently a priority at St James’ Park, where the Magpies remain focused on other targets. Talks continue with Brentford for Yoane Wissa, while Newcastle are expected to return with an improved bid for Wolves striker Jørgen Strand Larsen after their initial £50m offer was rejected.
Nottingham Forest to Terminate Emmanuel Dennis Contract
Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest are in negotiations to terminate the contract of Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis, who has struggled to make an impact since his £10m move from Watford in 2022.
Dennis has featured in just 19 league matches for Forest and has spent more time on loan at clubs such as Blackburn and his former side, Watford.
